Featured Acoustic Products

Select optimal materials by understanding their unique properties. We provide standard and specialty options for metals and plastics, ensuring enhanced project success and improved production efficiency.
machinable metal materials 1

PET Acoustic Panels

Versatile alloy with balanced strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability. Available grades: 6061, 7075, 5052, 2024-T8510.

Application:Auto, aerospace, marine, structural, electronics.

Surface:Anodizing, Chromate, Brushing, Polishing, Bead Blast, Powder Coat.

CNC Tip:

Standard corner radii reduce tool wear. Avoid welding 7075 if possible.

machinable metal materials 3

Wood Slat Acoustic Panels

Free-machining brass with high tensile strength, natural corrosion resistance, and good ductility. Available grades: C360, C260.

Application:Fittings, fasteners, valves, terminals, radiator cores.

Surface:As Machined, Polished, Nickel Plated, Passivation.

CNC Tip:

C360 is ideal for high-volume turning with good chip breaking; C260 requires effective chip breakers and high-pressure coolant.

machinable metal materials 2

Grooved Wood Acoustic Panels

Excellent corrosion resistance, formability and strength. Available grades: 304/L, 316/L, 17-4 PH.

Application:Kitchenware, medical, marine, aerospace, chemical tanks, implants.

Surface:Passivation, Electropolishing, Brushed, Heat Treat, Bead Blast.

CNC Tip:

Use sharp tools and constant feed rates to prevent work hardening. For 316/L, reduce cutting speed to manage heat buildup. Machine 17-4 PH in annealed state before heat treatment.

4

Ceiling Baffles

Good weldability, formability and strength. Available grades: Mild Steel 1018, Alloy Steel 4140.

Application:Mounts, brackets, gears, shafts, bolts, couplings.

Surface:Zinc Plating, Black Oxide, Powder Coat, Heat Treat.

CNC Tip:

Mild steel requires plating/coating immediately after machining to prevent rust. For alloy steel, use rigid tool setup to handle cutting forces.

5

Acoustic Screens

Exceptional thermal and electrical conductivity. Available grades: C110, C101.

Application:Bus bars, heat sinks, electrical contacts, vacuum tubes, waveguides.

Surface:Polished, Silver Plating, As Machined, Passivation.

CNC Tip:

Use sharp, polished tools with high rake angles to prevent burrs. High-purity grades are more costly, use only when required.

6 1

Fabric Wrapped Panels

Ti-6Al-4V offers an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and high corrosion resistance.

Application:Aerospace fasteners, medical implants

Surface:Bead Blast, Anodizing

CNC Tip:

Requires low cutting speeds and high coolant flow to prevent heat buildup and fire risk.

Flow Wing Metal Surface Finishing Services

Expert-grade surface treatments optimized for functionality, durability, and aesthetics.

Finish Specs

Materials

Technical Description & Cost

Metals & Plastics

Raw finish directly from CNC. The most economical choice with tightest tolerances. Visible tool marks present.

Metals & Plastics

Machined at lower feed rates. Less visible tool marks, better sealing properties and reduced friction.

All Materials

Smoothing to remove tool marks. Essential for optical parts, molds, or reducing friction.

Metals, Plastics

Bombarded with glass beads for a uniform matte finish. Hides tool marks. Note: Affects dimensions.

Metals, Plastics

Batch process with vibrating media. Removes sharp edges (deburring) and smooths geometry.

Aluminum

Corrosion-resistant oxide layer. Matte finish achieved by bead blasting prior to anodizing. Non-conductive.

Aluminum

Standard Type II anodizing applied to a polished/smooth surface. Vibrant, shiny appearance.

Aluminum

Thick, dense oxide layer (25-50μm). Extreme wear resistance (60-70 HRC). Limited color options (Dark).

All Metals

Dry powder fused by heat. Strong, thick plastic skin (~80μm). Superior durability to wet paint.

Steel, Stainless

Conversion coating. Anti-glare, mild corrosion resistance (needs oil). Negligible thickness change.

Aluminum

Corrosion protection for aluminum that remains electrically conductive. Great paint primer. Cost-effective.

All Metals

Depositing metal (Nickel, Zinc, Chrome) for solderability, hardness, or corrosion resistance.

Steel, Titanium

Diamond-Like Carbon. Extremely hard, low-friction. Used in engines, tools, and luxury watches.

Specialist industries

We’ve manufactured millions of parts for all sorts of applications, but we’re especially knowledgeable in these areas.

Why TYLD Acoustic?

A practical way to source acoustic products for your projects.

Precision Stainless Steel Welding Design Guide

011
Sam
Our engineering team specializes in stainless steel precision welding and CNC machining. With rich experience in marine, pharmaceutical and industrial piping projects, we provide professional design optimization and process solution for your custom metal parts.

• Adapt to Stainless Steel Welding Characteristics
Avoid design features that trap heat and cause warping; they lead to oxidation discoloration, reduced corrosion resistance, and rework. Use gradual transitions instead of sharp corners.

• Keep Wall Thickness Consistent
Maintain consistent wall thickness in welded assemblies; uneven sections lead to uneven heat distribution, distortion, and poor dimensional accuracy during high-temperature welding.

• Match Joint Design to Welding Processes
Design weld joints compatible with standard TIG/MIG processes; mismatched geometries require custom fixturing or multi-pass welding, increasing production cost and cycle time.

• Specify Practical Tolerances for Welded Parts
Only specify tight tolerances on critical functional surfaces; over-tight tolerances increase inspection time and manufacturing costs significantly. Our ISO-certified process ensures reliable quality.
